Parhad accuses me of cheering on the destruction of Beth-Nahrain, and continues harking his theme about America depleting the natural resources of third-world countries in order to please their corporate interests.

But in this post:

Parhad justifies these very same actions by his ancestors because, and I quote, "there was a scramble for resources and technology and land and water and security..above all security so civilization could advance.." end quote.

If it was ok in 700 BC for Ashurbanipal to kill Babylonian children for "resources, technology, land, water, and security....above all security so civilization could advance" - then it is ok for George Bush to be doing the exact same thing today - according to your own words.

You have justified Ashurbanipal the criminal - in the same strokes of your keyboard you have justified George Bush. Don't ever accuse me of "cheering on" what you, with your own words, have justified. You said those words - not me.
