I agree. The church saw an opportunity...by making Christian mean Assyrian as well..they thought they had a clever argument for getting "back" their lands. How people of either Faith EVER thought a religion made them indigenous, when BOTH religions come from elsewhere, is funny to me.

I think people pass over it and don`t want to offend these Christians..who now have convinced themselves of their claim to EXCLUSIVE ownership of a Heritage that has nothing Assyrian to it. The Muslims at least say we are all DESCENDED from the ancients..they aren`t about to say we ARE the ancients...and YOU can`t be!

It`s SO silly.
