And let me apologize to all those children too cause until I came to these forums a year almost now, I never knew much about my fellow Assyrians anywhere since I grew up 3rd generation half assyrian (turkey immigrant grandparents), and being a technical person, I basically only got the nightly news as my world information. So I never knew really what was going on but if I had known even the low estimates that yoru opponnents purport, of the number of children taht starved and suffeered, I would have written my congressman and president and let them know that we can't let children suffer for politics.... and it is too bad the Iraqis did not let that voice be heard to Sadam to so he would have done what he needed to to compromise and end the sanctions. I don't know the details and what side is right and wrong, and figure the truth lies somewhere in the middle... I just wish Assyrians could work together... and those brainwashed by religion and dogma and agendas could realize that the only way to survive this insanity is to put those things aside and find the middle ground. I know that a handful of assyrian christian immigrants talk antiIraq and you all blame that on the problems of assrians, but those over there should not be blamed for a few over here... just like they should not be blamed for sanctions that they had no control over. if your complaint is that they are trying to use being christian as sympathy, then i understand that but if these assyrian christians are the ones being targetted now... and the sanctions are in the past... we have to deal with now to prevent further suffering and death.

i don't know anymore what good i am doing here since the latest act of goodness i did got preverted into something ugly... so hopefullly you will forgive any ignorance in my postings and natural urges i have to protect who i perceive as the underdog and who remind me of the problems my people went through... and maybe if the other side were not so rigid and fundamentalist and mocking and lying and tormenting to different people and different views, you could all come together and work together for all Assyrians regardless of religion or circumstances... but the world does not work that way, and i recently learned how evil can make you hate evil, and every side sees the evil against them only so maybe we are hopeless and jesus on the cross is not the only one that god has forsaken (eloi eloi lama sabacthani)... and i best go before i loose all my faith in God and in people as this past week it seems ;)

take care and thank you for always being civil in our exchnages
peace and love.
