hi tiglath,

Yes, you are right we should worry about ALL children. And I now understand that christian children as well as muslim children, both Assyrian and Arab, have suffered over the years from wars and sanctions. I understand your point better now than I did previously. And if we can't see beyond ethnicity and religions when it comes to human suffereing as the world obviously can not, then you are right to point out that we should see beyond it when it comes to children. I don't know the answers and even less so now that I am trying to see ALL sides... but those christian children were no more responsible for the starvation and suffering of the other nonchristian children, but I see how you see it as being used. It was the act of a few terrorists and not all Iraqis and I hope that noone uses those poor innocent children to demonize all Iraqis, but I can also see how Assyrian Christians are worried and in need of security. Maybe they do need a safe zone and turnign that into a homeland is the objective and I don't think it is a terrible thing to ask for but from what I have read here, I realize that it won't happen and if it does it will be as someone here once said, like rounding them up into a central target. I don't know the answers but if I had family ovre there, I would try to get them to America for I do think that they are in trouble. I think regardless of who gets elected when the US pulls out and they inevitably will, that forces will work against the democracy there and if that fails, all how for assyrian christians fail... so i can't fault them for trying to protect their own and i am not going to villify anyone... and even though these forum goers have lied and been vicious to me, some have been sweet, but regardless we can't form prejudices based on a few, and even though they have made me give up on connecting to my ethnicity and the lastest attack on trying to help individuals on these forusm, i still can't help but have concern for a people who remind me of and have the same troubles as my grandparents, and can't help but understand their worry and have my own that another masss murdere like of my relatives in turkey will happen if we are not careful. and you are right there are others being murdered in Iraq besides these 2 kids to worry about, but if assyrians don't speak out about assyrians as you have about muslim assyrians and they have about christian assyrians, then how is the world going to know about these atrocities.

and i know how degrading it is to be banned and have people twist the good you try to do into something ugly, why i am still trying to get off forums but i just have to stop reading so if i don't respond it is just that i stopped reading cause i am adicated and if i read, i post.

best to you tiglath... and i wish you well and everyone else too.
much love.
shush
