I don't think you got that I was being sarcastic. The point of my post was that there will always be someone better than you, with better grades, better at debating, etc. Why waste your life comparing yourself to others? You responded via email EXACTLY as I predicted you would - incredibly defensive. The post got to you.... Understand?

I'm not here to one-up you. I'm not here to compare virtual penis sizes. Our debate is not about "winning" an argument. If I express my disappointment, why should that matter to you? I'm not someone you know or really care about, and I don't intend to be that person either. Frankly, I don't care if I disappoint you. Your expectations are different from mine. Futhermore, I openly acknowledge that there may not be a single person out there who really gives a damn what I think about any given topic. That's the crazy thing about the internet - a whole bunch of people writing from the comfort of their homes as if they will be read and loved by millions. It's rather narcissistic, isn't it?

I sometimes make absurd statements to watch other peoples' responses, but I firmly believe that life is tinged with absurdity anyway, and if you can't find it in your life, then you're living in a fantasy. That's why AINA and Beth fascinated me temporarily - absurdity is king there.

Maybe this post doesn't make sense to you, but it makes sense to me, so we'll just leave it at that.
