then..as you say..you were Jews to begin with who were followers of the Jewish Messiah...now calling yourselves Christians..but it was a JEW religion...no doubt Assyrians remained Assyrians until they too were so thoroughly beggared they needed a Messiah...except of course for all those who converted to Ilam.

There is absolutely no proof that Assyrians WILLIGLY converted to Christianity. For decades the Byzantines used BetNahrain as a dumping ground for Heretics...When Islam came there they found a multitude of Christian sects squabbling and attacking each other..like today...and they had to FORCE a peace....driven near insane by Christian sects..as we are today...Assyrians surviving here and there most likely leapt into ISLAM...something like that had to happen to explain the Islamic Empire which looked nothing like Mecca or Medina and a whole lot like BetNahrain..even to having its capital cities there.

...Tiglath`s point is still valid...it was the Byzantines who killed every single Jew in their lands who would not convert..and most of them were killed...in the Parthian Empire, because it wasn`t Christian and the Sassanian one after it..there was tolerance for religions of other people...that was NEVER the case with Christianity ANYWHERE.

The Jews..and any Assyrians, withinhose empires were free to believe as they wished..BUT, whenever Christianity went ANYWHERE, it killed people intohrist....as Tiglath`s post revelas. The Christians who were already Christian BEFORE any Roman showed up..were Jews who`d chosen to follw Christ from the beginning...as his followers were ALL Jews and HAD to be Jews for the first 100 years...these people indeed chose to be Christian of their owne will..but theyw ere JEWS and NOT Assyrians...it was no LEAP for a Jew to believe in a Jewish Messiah, it happened all the time...but it would be ridiculous for a follower of Ashur to do so.

If any Assyrians had come within the power of any Roman Church, they would have been forcibly converted or killed. Your Church of the East had no attraction at all to Assyrians..and in all the places it "spread" to..it hardly swept all else before it. In China and Japan and elsewhere you hardly had a swarm of converts...and after 2000 years still haven`t made an impact anywhere...because you had no army backing you up...just as there would have been no Christianity throughout the lands of the Roman Empire had not the Roman Army converted the people.

Thanks to this new information I can modify my points of contention...the Church of the East is indeed an early church begun by early converts...or rather by Jews who chose to believe Jesus was the one...they "spread" as they did but were never any great shakes..then or now. Jews and Christians have babies and after 400 years there were pockets of Judo/Christians here and there. These people were tolerated by the Persians...and by the Muslims, (although there were several complaints against them because their entire focus was on the Messiah coming back and they made lousy citizens when it came to caring about THIS world, like they still do)...it was the Christians who would have killed them all had they gotten their hands on them...for which we can thank Muhammad...for his armies saved them from the Romans and their religion respected them and allowed them religious freedom with ALL their friggin peculiarities....who cared?

The Romans STILL determined the fate of the Church of the East...but indirectly...

The interesting thing to note is that it was still the Roman Church...in its European robes, that came and fucked them over FINALLY! They are the official religion of the European countries STILL attacking us...they did it by insinuating themselves with the Church of the East...in various ways that caused Muslims to become suspicious...because they saw that the Christians who`d always lived among them in peace...as did the Jews..were gradually being drawn to the West and could be used against them...and it happened with both Jews and Church of the East and then ALL the sects and denominations they brought to BetNahrain in their missionary and evangelical pose...who are ALL now attacking or supporting the attacks against Islam.

It will STILL be the case that the Romans...their Roman Church Religions Inc....will, in the end...have us all killed. If they didn`t do it in the beginning..they are doing it now.

I still say..no Assyrian EVER became a Christian willingly...that the ones who claim now to be Assyrians are descended from the Jews who FIRST followed Jesus...they can revel in it all they want to..so long as the Romans protect them..who would have killed them if they`d caught them early on..but are still CAUSING them to get killed in their homelands. I say that the Church of the East and others used the Assyrian Heritage as a FRONT to gain some advantage for Jesus in Islam..that they are a sham and never were Assyrians at ANY time..look at them.

I also maintain and assume that the Great islamic Empire could ONLY have thrived if it attracted the people of BetNahrain..that otherwise it would have looked like what the Arabs were used to..their own customs and ways..instead it transformed and amplified the cultures of Betnahrain and behaved in EVERY way like a rebirth of an empire of Betnahrain...Assyrian, Babylonian and the others...that, I stand behind.

Jews have always been welcome here...leave your turds outsdie however.
