Dean,

I totally agree. It's completely ludicrous for anyone to suggest they knew who their grandparents were 10 generations ago....let alone 50 generations ago when Christianity was first introduced to Mesopotamia, the mountains of Turkey and Persia.

Parhad has no proof whatsoever that he is in any way, shape or form a descendant of the ancient Assyrians. Judging from his Christian name (St. Aphrahat), and the names his parents and grandparents likely had (such as Shmuel, Dawith, Sarah, Miriam, Isaac, Oraham, etc.) he is probably descended from Hebraic roots.

Now wouldn't that be something?

-Paul
