Shushan,

You are so wrong on so many points I don’t know where to begin.

Meshikha was not sent only for the Jews, even the Old Testament prophecies global intent.

See Isaiah 49:6
See Isaiah 5:26
See Daniel 7:13 & 14

You seem to think that Christianity and even the Creator for that matter can be defined in any way according to the whims of the individual. So what you have done is create god in Your image. Good. You've also created your own religion according to the dictates of you own mind and you have the audacity to call me "holier than thou". It sounds like you are the high and mighty one!

If you think Christianity has adopted the paganism and mythology of ancient Assyrian then next time you are in church, you might want to correct the Qasha when he says “Shubkha leMeshikha Maran” He should say “Shubkha leAlaha Ashur maran”. Call the Patriarch and let him know that they’ve been wrong for the last 2000 years. They must revise the liturgy to include the revelation of Shushan and from now on we’ll begin the prayers with “Tishbukhta leShamash bimroma”

>xxx Christianity takes many forms and the more judgemental and fundamentalist the farther from the teachings of Jesus, and someone like me who is closer to his earliest followers, the gnostics, follow his teachings without the dogma that has corrupted them and that allows "evil doers" to hide behind religion. So don't suppose to label everyone and put them in a religion box, some of us, like me, have no organized religious affiliation so we can practice the teachings of Jesus without all the corruption of religion that takes away the stress on his teachings of compassion, forgiveness, inclusion and loving your enemy etc.. and instead becomes an institute for opr\pression of independent minds like scientists and "nonbelievers" to control the masses by the egoistic power trippers running all the shows, who are exactly what Jesus was rebelling against... and that is the irony in Christianity... it has become what Jesus was preaching against! Now, I apologize if that offends you as a Christian, but you started judging and labelling and pigeon holing everyone first.

>
>xxx I have no problems with you changing the institute to take away the mansion like churches to something more humbly like Jesus, especially since all the wealth of churches have blood on their hands. I have no problem with taking away idols, like gold crosses around our necks and on our backs, cause it is a distraction worshipping a thing instead of growing as a spiritual and good person. I have no problem with taking away the worship of humans from Mary to pictuers of Jesus. But if you do that and take away all the 95% of the bible that is "pagan" or "idolatrous" or from religion and mythology of our Assyrian ancestors, then you are left with a religion that only the most uptight hypocrites will follow and you will destroy the thing you think you are trying to save. Just one woman's opinion since we are opining here. Either you are naive or you have a hidden agenda of destroying Christianity for Assyrians by taking away the things that draw them to it... and perhaps even destroying them for if they are not Assyrians in Iraq but just Christians, then don't you realize how much worse that makes their position there.. or do you?
>
>you opined:
>How much worse would symbols of paganism be if allowed in the church? (in fact at present, they are) Even if individuals arent worshiping them at the present, the historic fact that these symbols (ashur, shamash, lamasu, etc) were once part of the ancient assyrian cult should be enough for them to be forbidden in a Christian Church. It would be as if a Judaism allowed "golden calves" in thier temples.
>
>xxx Ancient Assyrian symbols are all through your bible and your church, and if you take all that out they you bring into question that it is the word of god and you destroy the religion... do you know what "side" you are on??? And you love this term pagan, cause you can label people with it just like the crusaders to make them inferior and of no value.. would Jesus do that?? Just using that term the way you do like a sword, wreaks of crusades and imperalism and oppression... all evil and the root of all the large scale evils done through history. So might as well take the idol Jesus out of your religion, kind of pagan to think God walked among us and worship a HUMAN image and not GOD purely... and you know what you just made me realize for the first time in my life... that Christianity has NOTHING to do with Jesus.. his name is being used to hide behind an agenda that is completely OPPOSITE of what he tried to bring to the world (TOLERANCE and FORGIVENESS and COMPASSION). Thank you for that awakening and destroying the last vestiges of Christianity that I thought had enough good in them to hold onto.

>you opined:
>Meshikhayootah has never been an ethnic faith. On the contrary, the apostles strived to open the faith to people of other nations so that ethnicity would take a back seat to faith. Allaha should come before country!
>
>xxx now i agree that Jesus' tolerance should be seen as breaking ethnic barriers so they are not used for hate and oppression, but it seems christians all through history, and now you on this forum, are instead using religion to take ethnicity's place in creating US vs THEM and intolerance. And you need to read the bible better, Jesus is prophecized as the Messiah for the Jewish people, so if you are going to make your Bible unquestionable exact word of God, then he failed at that and he can be a prophet or philosopher for the rest of us, but he is not our Messiah... he is theirs and those few Jews that accepted him as such, no longer consider themselves Jews cause the Jews don't... and he got mythologized in our Assyrian mythologies/religions, to create this other PAGAN religion called Christianity. Analyze it, read every word of the bible and you will see it is as PAGAN as you want to label our ancestors.

>you opined:
>As far as Hinduism is concerned, it is a perfect parallel to Assyrianism. Both are ancient non-christian religions. Hindu (India) is a country (so was assyria). In fact how do you say "India" in assyrian, is it not "hindustan"? Finally, Hindi is a language, so is Assyrian. As you know the Church of the East has many churches in India today. In fact there are more churches and members in India than anywhere else the Church of the East is ... combined. So wouldnt it be unacceptable if in Indian Church of the East parishes, we'd find images of "Vishnu" ?
>
>xxx that hindustan is an interesting piece of info.. thanks :). Let me tell you what I think is the problem with religions. They use these stories and myths to indocrinate the ignorant, and some very educated people can also be ignorant, and they have screwed up the world cause religion should be used to teach us how to behave in good healthy ways.. and stories and myths and symbols should be used to do that but instaed they are just used to control the masses and to do oppressions which are not good, against people who believe and even think differently or perhaps have some resource you want to evilly take, while hiding behind the pretense shield of good of God and religion.

>Just one woman's opinion. The more I listen to holier than though oppressionists, the more I loose my faith in humanity, NOT God!

>Peace to you brother!
>Shushhhhh
