it is indeed a beautiful name...and I didn`t mean harlot the way it`s commonly known...any independent woman has been considered a witch and a potential whore in masculine society. Tavernkeeper is a better term, though that one as well, when applied to a woman has the same sort of implication.

But a Tavern By The Sea is SUCH a lovely image...one thinks of all a tavern meant back then where places to rest were few and far between...when hospitality was a religious sacrament almost. No one accused Gilgamesh of drinking a tall one...just getting some wisdom that was always waiting for him to grow into. Siduri tells Gilgamesh a woman`s wisdom...to be a better man/husband/father/king...to wash, to wear clean clothes and cherish his heart`s desire and their children...take them by the hand and hold them close to his heart...and for this we left to run after a Jew? No way...we were as much raped into Christ as the Navajo, Aztec and Kikuyu...and all our children sing the praises of these Rapists to this day.

That`s been woman`s role and burden since the beginning, to bring some culture and civilzation to men and make it okay for them to be human.
