I wuz going through Jeef`s site...the ophoto gallery part and there`s a shot of him at the beginning that`s striking. Most of you haven`t had the pleasure of Jeff getting ill at your place...but as one who`s seen him face to face lots of times...I wasn`t aware of how much he looks like the figures from the Standard of Ur...or all those statuettes at the Oriental Institute...the ones carved in alabaster with hands clasped in front and the huge eyes with even bigger eyebrows...same devoted slightly queasy look..like they`re all trying hard to keep their lunch down.

I wouldn`t have thought people EVER looked like that for real...but there`s Jeff...and if he doesn`t look like he posed for those...I`ll eat a tuna yuck sandwhich at the California Restaurant in Celaya where Jeff almost met his maker...or rather that was the scene of the crime...his transmogrification and abbrogation and rogation too of his own inner ninevites came in my toilet the next day.

It`s something to think those genes travlled down through the ages to pop up in Jeff almost unchanged...and if you think of it there`d have to be a woman who looked pretty much as Jeff does for six millenia...which might explain the attraction.

We should all treat Jeff like the venerable fossil he is. I`ll dust him on Mondays.
