someone at aina very wisely and courageously said that in conversations with relatives still in Iraq the obvious thing is being spoken about: That under Saddam these kinds of things NEVER happened to Christians...as we all know they had liquor stores even...in a Muslim country no less!

Actually, it was so much better when the church leaders negotiated with the government... That was the difference between then and now.

...THAT was the difference? Is she saying the church SAVED us? How anyone could look out on our modern history and see anything but the church saving ITSELF at our expense...and that someone a graduate of high school...I can`t imagine.
