Tiglath,

It's unfortunate that any human beings have to die, especially young children who have not been given a chance to live, bloom and reach their potential.

...500,000 Iraqi children killed by Christians...27,000 of them Assyrian Christians

Something interesting about Assyrians though, which i'm sure you have noticed, is that some of them would rather die then call themselves Kurds or anything other then who they truly are.

...you are mistaken when you call yourselves Assyrians...you`vemerely tagged on the name to your Christian sects...you do nothing Assyrian.

Should we change our identity in order to "insure" our physical survival? Or should the situation in Iraq be changed so that we are able to survive as Assyrians?

...you are not surviving anywhere..in a few more genrations there won`t be any children interested in growing up to be you...you can`t change Iraq either...in fact there isn`t much of anything you CAN do.

You are looking for a easy way out and there isn't one.

...we said that..we said attacking Iraq would not solve any problems but increase them...there are no easy ways out.

Imagine this scenario; All Assyrians became Kurds, then the Kurds feeling powerful felt it was time to separate from Iraq. Turkey furious start's preparing it's army and enters the North of Iraq in order "defend" it's boarders. Some individual Turkish terrorist group enter the North of Iraq, invade one of the villages where Assyrians and Kurds live, and people get slaughtered once again, Assyrians, Kurds, and anyone who is in the way. Should we then run to the Turks and say, "please don't kill us, we will become Turkish if you want"?

...that`s exactly what you did already..you became Christians..then you divided among various sects and you`re now cheering on the destruction of BetNahrain and helping to pay for it too...you`ve been nothing but trouble for Iraq...go away.

Wouldn't it make more sense using your reasoning, that we become Arabs rather then Kurds? There is a much larger Arab population in Iraq then Kurds and we would probably get much more out of it! So why are you playing the Kurdish card?

...you are becomming Americans and Europeans like they all do..in fifty years you`ll merely be Western Christians...and while it will be okay by you all to be Americans..you will have stopped being Iraqi...and you STILL won`t be Assyrians..it`s the best way to go.

Tell us of one Nation throughout history Tiglath who changed it's 6000 year or so identity in order to insure it's "survival" without being forced by anyone?

...tell us of one nation in modern history that threw away its god, culture and heritage...for a Jew religion..tell us of one that wasn`t dragged kicking and screaming to Christ...name one.

I don't think Assyrians of Iraq or anywhere in the world would change their identity, even the families of Raneed and her sister Raphid who died in such a horrible way.

..they will when they come to America where you can finally be what you are...Christians.

The problem at hand is not that we are Assyrians and Christians. The problem at hand is a bunch of interrelated, complex issues that children could solve before politicians.

...you cannot follow two gods...you follow Christ, yet you`ve kept the name of ASshur in your name...you are frauds...you use the good name of Ashur to get a Christian enclave...and you`ll have any number of our children killed to get there.

Abbey
