Of course, the Bush administration would try to use a slaughter like the one they are planning to try to discourage further resistance to the occupation.... However, how strong can the U.S. military be when the number of Iraqis willing to fight for an end to the occupation keeps increasing every day and the U.S. government runs out of "natives" willing to collaborate.... Blood runs thicker than money.... The Bush administration is being foolish if they carry through with a massacre at Najaf. It will end in the slaughter of more Americans, which will lead to Bush losing the election.
