Dear Khizma,

Do you think the mothers of those Babylonian children, who were still sucking on their breasts when they were killed, cared whether or not the children died in the name of Ashur....or Yahweh?

I can see Farid there now, trying so desperately with his bullshit to console them: "But at least Ashur is OUR son-of-a-bush! Only you call him Marduk, see? Heheh. C'MON! It's not all that bad. They died for the empire....natural resources, technology, the advancement of civilization....and security, ESPECIALLY security."

...there was no consolation for them then...none was offered...we're talking about consoling the Assyrian mothers today, both Muslim and Christian and anything else who are being ripped apart by Christianity...not Ashur. If anything the spirit of Ashur is motivating recent converts to Islam to defend the land that was Ashur's.

...I don't understand why you treat Tiglath as if he was a child...who needs saving from some fatal error...what has he done but express a greater appreciation for his Heritage than for a Jewish one? YOU are the one trying to make Jews out of us so we'll accept our self-destruction calmly and with a song in our hearts for Yahwe...

Security for whom, Khizma? For the distraught mother....milk still leaking from her nipple? Or for the infant lying dead on the streets of Babel...or Samaria?
