THE HARD, COLD TRUTH: U.S. TROOPS ARE DYING FOR NOTHING IN AN UNJUST WAR

PROTEST THE WAR

WARNING: THIS POSTING CONTAINS EXPLETIVES AND FOUL LANGUAGE
No apology this time. I mean to do it.

1,2,3,4, WHAT THE HELL ARE WE FIGHTING FOR?
5,6,7,8, BRING THE TROOPS HOME, DON'T ESCALATE.

Hey, hey Mr. Bush: I assure you that most Americans don't give a rat's ass about whether Iraq becomes a democracy or not. And all I care about is bringing my brothers and sisters home from a war they should have never fought at all.
1324 TROOPS NOW LIED DEAD; 9981 OFFICIAL WOUNDED, 20000 ACTUAL WOUNDED; THOUSANDS MORE SUFFERING FROM POST-TRAUMATIC STRESS DISORDER IN AN AMERICA WHERE VETERANS BENEFITS CONTINUE TO BE CUT BY AN UNSYMPATHETIC GOVERNMENT.
How many more must die before we bring the troops home?

SUPPORT THE TROOPS BY PROTESTING THE WAR.
NEED I SAY ANY MORE?
HEY, I'M A POET AND I DIDN'T FRIGGIN' KNOW IT.

What kind of government lies to its people in order to launch a war of aggression?
What kind of government bombs innocent civilians, women and children?
What kind of government tortures innocent civilians and a people they just invaded?
What kind of government changes the rationale for war at will?
What kind of government sends troops into harms way without proper equipment?
What kind of government keeps its troops in harm's way when its clear the conflict is lost?
What kind of government keeps its citizenry ignorant because it knows how outraged they would if confronted with the truth?
What kind of government squelches dissent at home while torturing, murdering and oppressing abroad?
What kind of government concerns itself more with imperial expansion than with protecting its citizenry from danger?

I'll tell you what kind of government does that:
A GOVERNMENT THAT DESERVES TO BE OVERTHROWN BY ANY AND ALL MEANS AVAILABLE.
If a government chooses to be more concerned with expanding its power and imperial reach than with protecting its citizenry or with respecting the troops that serve it by waging only just wars of defense, then why should its citizenry respect that governments continuity?
ATTENTION UNITED STATES FEDERAL GOVERNMENT:
What part of GO FUCK YOURSELF AND GO FUCK YOUR UNJUST WAR don't you understand?

If you choose not to be afraid of the government, and you can choose not to be afraid of them, then they have absolutely no power over you. None.
Fear is most often, though not always, a choice. Without fear the government is nothing. Without fear they have no control. Stand up without fear and tell the government, the military-industrial government to go to hell. As we transform our anti-war movement into an active resistance movement, we should take some points to heart about the nature of resistance. This is because resistance is greater than just protesting the war; resistance is about overthrowing the very system that breeds war itself, the whole system of corporate socialism. Here I refer you to former Special Forces soldier Stan Goff per his excellent article about the nature of fear and resistance against the system that breeds war and the government under its control.

Stan Goff on Resistance, Lack of Fear, and Reclaiming the Military that is ours, not the politicians or the elite: Without instilled fear in the minds of average citizens, the imperial system becomes extremely vulnerable to internal collapse. Remember, that the Roman Empire did not fall from without but from within. So it shall again. You will see.

Getting out of Iraq:
http://www.truthout.org/docs_04/121704I.shtml

A way out of Iraq:
http://www.fpif.org/commentary/2004/0412iraq.html

The peace movement is mistaken in not conducting anti-war marches on a regular basis. But the problem is that many peace-movement leaders refuse also to deal with reality.
You see, the reality is that anti-war marches are not going to have much immediate political effect. But, really, they were also never meant to do so. Anti-war marches are about VISIBILITY. If the American people don't see it, then to most people, it does not exist. But when they see it, then they are forced to deal with the notion that the war is
mired in controversy and the little "with us or against us" paradigm then begins to crumble. It causes them to have to think for just a moment which many people are vigorously opposed to doing. Out of sight, out of mind. Without anti-war marches, to many Americans the anti-war movement is non-existent. But with anti-war marches, people must confront the reality that war is causing vast controversy. Thus, ultimately most will want the war to go away. Without anti-war marches, there is less controversy thereby granting justification for the war by means of omission of controversy and open dissent. Certainly, a multiplicity of varying methods and tactics should be simultaneously employed over time to bring an end to the war but it should not be forgotten that anti-war marches serve a unique role, that is, they make the anti-war movement very visible which has the potential to impact the mind of every average American to get them thinking for at least just a moment. At the same time, not too much hope for changing things should be vested in anti-war marches, but to omit anti-war marches altogether is a colossal strategic error by anti-war leaders. Certainly some will invite Veterans for Peace to assemble an anti-war march but the reality is that VFP does not have the resources or people to assemble one. But UFPJ among other groups does have the resources to do so and they soon should renew anti-war marches immediately.

Ahh, the refreshing voice and input of Tony Kushner (I loved Angels in America, Mr. Kushner and I really loved the concept of homosexuals, some of whom suffering from AIDS, as angels and prophets of a sometimes seemingly absent G-d [talk about a real zinger laid on the Christian Right, huh? It was fabulous, honey!]): http://www.truthout.org/docs_04/120904K.shtml

Fuck democracy in Iraq. Who gives a rat's ass about Iraq? The threat, if there ever was any, is nullified so let's bring our boys home. The only reason why the government wants Iraqi's to vote in January is so that the illegal and unjust occupation by U.S. forces will seem more legitimate. It is not legitimate nor is it just. THE WAR IS UNJUST. THE OCCUPATION IS UNJUST. U.S. TROOPS ARE DYING FOR NOTHING BUT OIL AND EMPIRE.

Question for you, Mr. Bush: If Iraqi's voting in January is all that’s needed to make Iraq a democracy, then why does Mr. Bush insist that Palestinians voting in Palestine does not make them a democracy. You know what I think? I think that's just political spin, i.e., bullshit. I think that maybe there exist two democracies in the Middle East, Israel and Palestine, and we should financially support both them equally because they are democracies. Same budget for both. Certainly, we must work to equalize the relationship we have with both states, take an even-handed approach between them, and work to curtail all violence especially suicide bombings by violent extremists inside Israel. But to digress slightly, let me say that I am appalled by and condemn the actions of the Gaza settlers, particularly their decision to wear orange stars of David (similar to the yellow stars of David the Nazi’s forced Jews to wear) to symbolize their opposition to Israeli government’s decision to withdraw from Gaza. In wearing this symbol they are attempting to draw a distinct parallel between the Holocaust and their own plight. The hard, uncomfortable truth is that nothing could be further from the truth and I am sure some people including some Jews will hate me for what I am about to say, but here is the truth as I see it: When one considers that the actions of the Gaza settlers includes such actions like murdering Palestinian children as they make their way to school, cutting down Palestinian olive groves and sabotaging Palestinian crops, killing any Palestinian land-owner who refuses to sell their land to the settlers, threatening the Israeli government with violence and political assassinations, infiltrating the IDF and threatening to use their moles to undermine military discipline by getting soldiers to obey settler rabbi’s over obeying their military chain-of-command, and by threatening Greater Israel with civil war if they do not get exactly what they want; these extreme actions and the rhetoric that accompanies them taken in context of the fact that Palestinians are also a Semitic people, one begins to understand that the extreme rhetoric and actions of the settlers in Gaza/West Bank along with their deeply anti-Semitic views with respect to Palestinians is an attitude that more closely resembles German fascism than it does the plight of those who suffered enormously at the hands of the Nazi’s. For that reason alone, the settlers should, I think, consider changing the symbol of their struggle from an orange star to an orange fascist symbol since they are really nothing more than modern-day Israeli fascists, in my view. It is possible to be such a thing unfortunately, and some people, namely the settlers, are indeed fascists. Over time, as I continue to develop a relationship with the state and people of Israel, I am finding that there are many, many more things that I like about the state of Israel than things I don’t like. Among the things I like includes the fact that gay-marriage is now legal in Israel given a recent court-decision. The list of things I do not like about the state of Israel is actually very short but I will say that settlers and settler movement is at the top of that list. Much like one of their “ultra-nationalist” compadres, Yigal Amir, who shot down in cold blood one of my greatest Jewish and Israeli peace heroes, Yitzak Rabin, these people, these settlers as they call themselves, are really nothing more than modern day fascists who are situated in Israel. The settlers and little more than thugs, bloodthirsty killers and war criminals. The greatest impediment and obstacle to peace in the Middle East and the greatest threat to Israel’s security is not from the Palestinians rather the greatest impediment to peace and threat to Israel is the Israeli settler movement or as I call them, the Israeli fascist movement. I’m sorry if the truth as I see it offends some. It should offend. It is offensive, not because of the way I have characterized it nor because of the uncomfortable parallels that I have drawn; it is offensive because it sadly true. The parallels are valid and that is very sad given the colossal suffering of the Jewish people during the Holocaust at the hands of the Nazi’s. That some Jews, namely settlers, would act in a similar fashion to fascists is terribly troubling, offensive and quite outrageous, perhaps even, self-hating. But their decision to wear an orange star of David to symbolize their struggles diminishes and cheapens the murder of over 6 million Jews during the Holocaust. The settlers should be deeply ashamed of themselves. Know also that the pointed criticisms I direct toward the Israeli settler movement that I make those criticisms in the name of Tikkun Olam because I am coming to Israel not by nearer blindly obedient way but by the morally principled way of the wilderness.

“Ken le'shalom, lo l'alimut”;
“Yes to peace, no to violence.”
---Israeli peace slogan

“Dai l'dmaot v'l'dam"
“Enough of the blood and tears.”
---Yitzak Rabin

Back to Iraq, I frankly don't think Iraq is ever going to become a democracy but I do think that patriotic Iraqi's fighting for their homeland (otherwise known as "insurgents") will ultimately succeed in taking their country back and booting the unjust U.S. invaders out. So let's bring the troops home sooner as opposed to later and help save the troops’ lives; let us support the troops by protesting against the war to best help save their lives;
THEY DON'T NEED YOUR SUPPORT FOR THE WAR; THEY NEED TO LIVE BY BEING BROUGHT HOME ALIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ONLY BY PROTESTING THE WAR AND CAUSING POLITICAL CONTROVERSY CAN YOU HELP SAVE THEIR LIVES AND HELP BRING THEM HOME ALIVE!!!!

SUPPORT THE TROOPS BY PROTESTING THE WAR!!!!!!!!!!!
BRING THE TROOPS HOME NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Otherwise we should reclaim the government through active subversion.
UNDERMINE AND SUBVERT AND DO IT OPENLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
Subvert openly; subvert courageously; subvert philosophically; subvert actively; resist!!!
UNDERMINE, SUBVERT, REBEL, DISOBEY, AND LEAD!!
Take this country back with conviction. You have the power to lead, so just do it.

Ideas for the Peace Movement:
http://www.commondreams.org/views04/1214-31.htm

Let us remember what this country was founded upon: PEACE AND LIBERTY.

THE FOUNDING FATHERS WERE MEN OF REASON NOT MEN OF RELIGION:
THEY WERE DECISIVELY PRO-REASON, ANTI-WAR, ANTI-MILITARY, ANTI-EMPIRE, PRO-SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE, AND PRO-LIBERTY:
http://www.fff.org/freedom/fd0409a.asp
We will have a Republic or we will have a Revolution. Take your pick. Prepare for the power of the people, not the majority of the people, but the minority guardians of democracy. The Republic will be restored. The Empire will be demolished.

"When the government fears the people, you have liberty. When the people fear the government, you have tyranny."
— Thomas Jefferson

I fear not the government but I hope they fear me. The government must learn to obey the people. The government will be made accountable. The government will be taught to submit to the people or face popular insurrection. The will of the people and the Constitution will be enforced. The government will obey or the government will pay.
Prepare for change.

You know Mr. Bush, if you lied and over 1300 people died in Texas they would have executed you by now. Personally, I'd like to see you thrown into the front lines in Iraq where I'm sure you would certainly cower and run just like you did during Vietnam, pulling Daddy's strings to become a National Guard draft dodger. Then I’m sure some patriotic Iraqi fighting for his country would shoot you in the back as you ran from the front lines like the filthy, coward that you are. After that, you could slowly bleed to death and cry for your mommy as you have done to so many good troops in Iraq. You, sir, are a filthy, lying, troops-betraying son-of-a-bitch and nothing more. And for doing so, I'm here to rhetorically piss all over your face so open your mouth wide a take a drink, pal.

THE TIME HAS COME TO "LIBERATE" THE TROOPS FROM IRAQ AND LIBERATE THE AMERICAN PEOPLE AT HOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! REGIME CHANGE BEGINS AT HOME!!!!!!!

The only credibility on the line is the President’s credibility. Good troops are dying so Bush won’t look bad and that’s bullshit. It should be the other way around but we wouldn’t want to suggest doing anything to the President that is being done to the troops by him would we? Or would we? http://fairuse.1accesshost.com/news2/butcher.html

SPEAK OUT; SPEAK TRUTH TO POWER; FEAR FRIGGING NOTHING!!!!!!!!!! FUCK THE WAR; FUCK THE GOVERNMENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BRING THE TROOPS HOME NOW!!!
http://www.bringthemhomenow.org

Think of this posting as my New Year’s Wish and holiday kiss from my lips to yours, Feds. Pucker up, federal bitches!!!!!

STATEMENT BY THE BRING THEM HOME NOW CAMPAIGN:
On Saturday, December 11, a meeting of 350-400 veterans, military families and supporters took place in NYC and adopted the following statement:

We are veterans, military families, and supporters who have assembled at a public meeting and speak out in New York City to express our opposition to the illegal and unjust occupation of Iraq.

We do not believe our servicemen and women should be sent overseas to kill and die or be maimed to protect politicians' credibility. Real support for the troops means insisting that they be brought home now and that they, along with veterans of previous conflicts, receive the care and assistance they need and are entitled to, upon their return.

We also stand in defense of our civil rights and liberties, including the right of the troops themselves to speak out against mistreatment, incompetent leadership, corporate corruption, the "back-door draft" or illegal orders.

We know this is a long-term struggle and pledge to continue organizing against this folly and those who dragged our country into it. We do this in solidarity with the men and women they have put in harm's way, and with the ordinary citizens of Iraq who are suffering under foreign occupation.

WAGE PEACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The powers in charge keep us in a perpetual state of fear: Keep us in a continuous stampede of patriotic fervor with the cry of grave national emergency.
