The great Jeff Jarvis wrote this today:

" Michael Moore lost the election for John Kerry."

Meanwhile, the Professor notes that "...Michael Moore doesn't have anything on his website about the assassination of Dutch filmmaker Theo Van Gogh by Islamic extremists, just more Bush-bashing."

UPDATE: Jarvis lists several great reasons why Moore lost it for Kerry. But this one stands out to me:

He demanded that we see conspiracies everywhere but where they exist: in the Islamofascist world.

ANOTHER UPDATE: As for this reason Jarvis points out, this is something I've been saying since May: Moore created a controversey around F911, which drew people to the theaters not for his message, but for the hoopla surrounding it. As a result (not to mention the fact that the movie was insanely over the top), I believe a majority of people came away from the film thinking nothing other than Michael Moore. In Jarvis' words:

Moore was brilliant at creating a media frenzy. The media bought his hype and helped him make a fortune on his little flick. They made the mistake of thinking that each ticket bought to see that flick was worth many times more votes. No, the people who went to see F9/11 weren't all buying Moore's gospel. They were buying the hype. And that's all Moore was selling: Hype. He wasn't doing it for the good of the country. He was doing it for the good of Michael Moore.
