Meeting of Iraqi-Americans Organizations on the Presidential Election
- Communiqué-

October 29/2004

10 organizations representing community, civil society, cultural and political organizations of Americans of Iraqi origin ( estimated 50,000 in San Diego area) have met on Friday October 29/2204 to declare their positions on electing Bush or Kerry on the election day. A speaker of each organization presented a view on whom and why his/her organization has recommended for the election day. An open question and answer dialogue with each speaker enriched the justification for their presidential nominee. All speakers encouraged Iraqi community to take an active part in the election.

The organizations have anonymously recommended Mr. G. W. Bush for the presidential election on November 02, citing their organization’s valid reasons. Two most frequent reasons for the recommendation of Mr. Bush and his administration were based on the need to give the support to complete the mission of stabilizing Iraq, and that Iraqi community organizations do not believe that Mr. Kerry approach to attract European alliance will work on the ground as they failed in Bosnia, and they were close allied of Saddam Hussein brutal regime. At this sensitive time to American and Iraqi people- it is important to give the terrorists and the reactionary fundamentalists and Saddam’s forces a strong stand to allow Iraq growth toward stabilization, democracy, building its civil system that respects human rights and international community.
