"Then one god should be slaughtered.
And the gods can be purified by immersion.
Nintu shall mix the clay
With his flesh and blood.
Then a god and a man
Will be mixed together in clay.
Let us hear the drumbeat forever after,
Let a ghost come into existence from the god's flesh,
Let her proclaim it as her living sign,
And let the ghost exist so as not to forget the slain god."

Paul,

The Enuma Elish aka The Babylonian Creation Epic is one of the greatest pieces of literature ever written.

Try and understand it for what it is depicting.

They are attempting to explain the reason for our self-awareness and using the Epic to explain that we, just like the animals, are made from the clay of the ground but mixed with the ghost of a God.

If you had looked closer you would've seen that it actually explains how our self-awarness as well as the concept of a soul originated from.

You didn't think that the Judaism came up with them did you?
