"These bastards know this game very well and the only way for to defeat them is by organizing and organizing and more organizing."

...there may have been a time...maybe in ancient Greece...maybe in our own Republic for a few very brief years in the beginning, when the vote was all important...but times change...the vote today is worthless....but we can't see past it...we don't see the power we have in our wallets...the power to dictate policy to these corporations by simply boycotting them in earnest until they get out of politics and give the government back to the people.

There is no way on god's earth you're going to be able to even THINK about running for office unless you're a zillionaire already or find backers who are...and we know what they want for it. Two equally useless choices will be placed before us for us to fool ourselves over.

The Montgomery Bus Boycott was the wave of the future...only it hasn't been really seen for what it was....you would think if anything was cast in cement, it would be racial segregation and Jim Crow in the South...and yet all it took...not guns and violence which would have brought retaliation...all it took was bus fare...bus fare WITHELD...for a little more than ONE YEAR...one year during which the bus company could not earn ENOUGH...there were still people riding...but not enough for the PROFIT margin...

Remember, as these people have said themselves so many times..they aren't in business for the pleasure of it, or just to run a mom and pop store...as a way to make a decent living...these people will slit throats for a penny increase in sales...because that penny will be where their profit comes from at the end of the year...a company that makes ten billion a year pays out in overhead 9.98 billion...the remainder is their profit...but they have to pay OUT that money first...and what's left over is their profit..and if you keep them from earning a penny, it comes out of their profits..what they LIVE for...NOT operating expenses which have to be paid come hell or high water.

Therefore an organized boycot would not have to be massive or need to break a company entirely,...that would be counter-productive...but it COULD threaten their profit margin...their lifeline..the reason they exist at all and rob people and turn out shoddy products.

All the boycotters would say is.."get your money out of our elections"...and no war profiteering, which would take care of itself once the heavy corporate interests are removed from Washington...and we could begin, just begin, to get government back where it belongs..and business back whete IT belongs...serving OUR needs and not using us to serve theirs.

The vote is dead and gone...it means nothing and it never will again...the road to enfranchisement in the modern era...using the power and weakness of the corporations against themselves instead of allowing them to be used against us is so easy it hurts. It's the wave of the future...Afro-Americans showed us the way back in the 60s. No amount of voting would have changed anything back then...it took dimes and nickels to break segregation in Alabama,,it was that easy, but oh so profound.
