...who has done that? Did America want us to forgive the Japanese after Pearl Harbor? Did ONE church say we should have? This rot is for home consumption, not international relations. There was no war going on when Jesus said his people should forgive their enemies...what enemies? He meant their occupiers, the Romans. On a personal basis, who has "enemies"..and how often? In war time if you refuse to fight your nation's enemies, even if they haven't done a thing to you personally, you are a traitor. If your conscience won't allow it you still have to provide support...drive an ambulance in the old days...or go to jail. No one WANTS you to forgive your enemies...they want you to kill them.

Why are priests blessing soldiers if they want them to forgive their enemies? And the final nail in the coffin of this absurdity is the fact that Iraqi children were NEVER our enemies...it was Saudi children we should have been killing.
