...I don't know how heroic they were but at least some the soldiers who attacked Grenada had a sense of honor...I mean the ones who returned the medals they got like Cracker Jacks prizes from Reagan. They knew damn well all they did was attack and kill a bunch of civilians and mental patients...imagine THEIR surprise when the Marines landed. That was Reagan's bid to get Americans accustomed to war again...after the lull from Vietnam...by controlling the press he was able to make it look like there was reason to go there. It was Reagan the American who cheapened every medal ever handed out by giving thousands away for nothing...Ashur bless those soldiers too shamed to be a part of such a fraud...yet Reagan too was a "real" American. These sorts of real ones do the real damage. --------------------- |
