***Revolutionaries dont run from the people they are attempting to critize and change, they make it happen with them, and alongside their nation, not away from it.*** Good point! I can't help but think that we are NOT the revolutionaries. That the true REVOLUTIONARIES are in Iraq, in Iran, in the very womb itself. I don't believe that Farid is the only "Farid", or that I am the only "Emil". They're out there beneath the bombs and the blood. Who are we? We're nothing. We're "former" engineers, as you mention, upcoming dentists in Modesto, Real Estate agents in San Jose, taxi drivers in Chicago, a sculptor in Mexico, a mere diarist in Chicago. We're the "lucky" ones. The revolutionaries are out there. And we know nothing about them. They are brilliant, talented, articulate, comapssionate, and they are being exterminated. Of course there's a NOBEL PEACE PRIZE candidate in some village in some desert in Iraq, a possible future PULITZER winner in Afghanistan, poets, scientists, lovers, prodigies, revolutionaries. Electricity is wasted on us- who are we? Nothing. Nothing. --------------------- |
