We already know that the US's problem is that they have been hijacked by corporate interests who use think tanks to set out government policy.
I was just wondering if this theory makes sense.

Do you think all of the US's problems can be directly attributed to this?

e.g.
1. The Military-Indusrial-Complex profits by setting out the Foreign Policy and maintaining an agressive "invade first, ask questions later" policy. i.e. Encourages never ending war.

2. The Military-Petroleum-Complex sets out energy and foreign policy by encouraging consumption, non-renewables as well as not adhering to the Kyoto Protocol and subsequently amplifying the Green House affect. Not to mention its policy of deposing leaders and regimes who control the world's energy reserves such as Iraq and Venzeula.

3. The Prison-Industrial-Complex sets out the law and order policy to increase the number of Americans incarcarated by not legalising Marijuana and supporting "tough on crime" measures as well as "war on crime" campaigns which use the media to create a climate of fear.

4. The Medical-Industrial-Complex sets out Health policy and ensures that the US doesn't have universal health care the norm in most Western countries.
