Every Christian believes his religion was adored and embraced by anyone who ever heard of it and that he or she is the descendant of people who had the great good sense to dump their own cultures and religions for Christ, of their own free will...bull.

...and so on. If barbarous Germanic peasants refused to give up their religion for Jesus...are you REALLY trying to tell us that the Assyrians, with all that proud and distinguished heritage behind them RUSHED to convert to a Jewish god?

..you see how pernicious this stuff is? What Christians such as BethShmilom do is call it "pride" when the Assyrians, who had REAL reason to be proud because of their achievements, supposedly gave that up as "false pride" to accept the REAL pride of being spat upon from then on...for Jesus...that they, of their own free will, DUMPED a useless and "heathen" god such as Ashur, for the "real thing"...if you can tell a pudding by how it tastes...we should stick in the craw of just about anyone.

..It instead of being ashamed of himself for the doggerel he writes and dares to mail, which any real Assyrian WOULD be,...he instead looks for his "pride" where he feels he was most put upon and slaughtered...that is, his only reason for being proud now is that he has been HUMILIATED for Jesus! He is no doubt PROWD he can`t spell, write or reason...he is PROUD to wail and complain....things for which the ancients were NEVER known.
