Note that there are more than one William Warda and the one who is the subject of discussion here is William Warda form Iraq who was, or Is Iraqi ambassador to Vatican and not me who lives in Los Angeles. I have no knowledge of what Zowa plans to do about an administration center or safe Zone.

A safe zone means it is a militarily protected area which outsiders without permission can not enter. Such a place will create resentment against the Assyrians and would become a hated target.

...the demand for a "Safe Haven", as described above, is nothing more than a FORUM. I mean their model for such a place is aina!!! It's a place that is "safe" in the sense that aina is made safe for Aprim and the rest...it's a "little world" where outsiders can't enter to disrupt "reality"....THAT'S why they keep clamoring for a safe haven...because they've been able to make aina SAFE and think a country along those same lines will answer their dreams!!!

Administrative center would be far more benign and less objectionable to the Arabs and the Kurds. Whether it would be beneficial to the Assyrians depends on how much power Assyrians will have in the legal, political and economic operations of the designated area. As the saying goes the devil is in the detail.

...well here's one small detail...as it stands now whenever Assyrians have created any sort of place..whether a church or scoial club or political party or forum..it's first order of business and some would say it's MAIN reason for existing is to shut OTHER Assyrians OUT! An "administrative" region such as this fellow advocates as being more acceptable to Arabs, Kurds etc would STILL be all about throwing other Assyrians OUT!

...so that once again, all we're good for is attacking each OTHER...and this band plays on. You can see right there...in aina and beth and any number of them, that these people can't be inclusive or pluralistic without ANY region or haven...so what do you imagine they'd do if they had such a region? If our "enemies" want to see us no more...all they have to do is put us in ONE room and lock the doors and...bye bye Assyria.
