...but man can you WRITE! You have SUCH a distinctive voice, your feelings and insights I put to one side for the moment, but your ability to use language in such a distinctive way, after hundreds of years of words being batted around, deserves its own praise...you do things to words and with words that is as close to SEX itself as can be. I know this didn`t tumble out of your heart and head in this sparse, polished form...with every hint and glance and emotion and truth unmistakable...but I admire even more the poet who can do the really dangerous...go over the inspiration and hone it in such a way as the rest of us shmucks who have not the first hand experience can come as close as we can to what you felt. It is DISCIPLINE after all that makes your muse, momentarily, speak to me as well.

Your excerpt reminded me only slightly of Erica Jong and her "Zipless Fuck"...except you`re a poet at heart and soul and she isn`t...you`re also the better writer.

You`re the master with the words...I`m just spluttering...thanks again...and you WOULD list Anais and Khalil as your major inspirations...mine too.

Thanks Emil...I know you know that I know it isn`t easy..."it" being to live your life as if it`s wonderful and the only one you can be sure of right now...to live it fully and take the abuse that must come with it...for people will NOT forgive the person who finds a way out.

I believe I`m going to make the trip to Chicago this summer...you better be there.
