...now there was an unusal fellow...second or third emperor of the Eastern Roman Empire at Constantinople...a quiet, decent fellow who tried to take the Romans back to their pagan ways and failed..the priesthood had already grown to such strength that he wasn`t able to do it...he wasn`t the kind to have them all throttled in their sleep...so he went his own way...ignored Jesus and hell AND heaven and lived a good decent life...a most pious pagan. The Church had already gotten to the children...they and their parents had already been dragged to the churches that "taught" them their new religion...but it`s good to know not eveyone JUMPED into Jesus...I`ve no doubt thousands of Romans only went along to stay alive...the new Christianity was to be the bloodiest scourge the world had ever seen...and we`re still paying the price. --------------------- |
