Dear All, I just met with Prime Minister Jaffari and Foreign Minister Zebari separately and got them both both privately and publicly in separate Press Conferences to acknowledge that the Assyrian Christians are the original people of Iraq and are entitled constitutionally to a Province. The tragedy? None of our leaders are interested in the least to follow it up. I am in Washington and meet with the State Department tomorrow to convey this information. The Assyrian leadership seems to me to enjoy the `martyrs` status and `poor is us`. Frankly, I think in most cases they are simply lazy and don’t care. One would think people would jump to find out that both the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Iraq would support our cause. Maybe someone on this list can get through to some of our leaders.
