The evidence is compelling and yet people still like to argue that "it's just a theory". Here is my small and over-regurgitated scenario: A couple million years ago a primitive "ape-like" animal was confronted with the potential of starving to death due to his the lack of small game in his surroundings. It was highly competitive in his surroundings and other "ape-like" animals were very territorial. To escape famine for himself and his family, he used a stone to kill a larger animal that he usually would avoid so his family could feed. This meant that this "ape-like" creature had a special ability hidden that when pushed to the edge of survival, that ability surfaced and he succeeded. This scenario took chance (food was scarce & rock on the floor), pressure (potential of famine), environment (highly competitive) for this animal to change the course of his actions. Why is it that religions don't want evolution to be thought of as truth? Is it because it means we will question their teachings. We will doubt the doctrines. We will no longer give to their institutions. Is it that belittling to think we descended from something more primitive and that maybe Adam and Eve were the "ape-like" creatures I spoke about? Is it wrong to see that were are all part of this earth, every last being? Do they denounce evolution so that they can continue to separate man from man and continue to preach hate and death to those who oppose them? Do they not want to feel a connection to this earth so that they can continue to drive their SUV's till the point-of-no-return within our atmosphere? I know what they're thinking. Their Messiah will fix it when he comes. What an irresponsible cop-out!!!! It is about power and with evolution the power is within you and your actions. But with these foolish religions, the power is not about you. You are the unintended residue of an outcome created by a greater force with a white beard who carries a clip board of all your right-and-wrong doings. "It's just a theory". That is true. But for those who know what the story of evolution brings to the table, know the evidence is so compelling that it is considered a fact and is NOT refuted by any scientific groups. It is not based on faith but based on evidence and it is therefore the TRUTH. Speaking of monkeys, did anyone go to the Assyrian New Years parade? I saw some driving by. --------------------- |
