Don't forget Bush is making gestures toward France to win the French support of his war in exchange for a piece of the Iraqi pie. France and the UN were pissed off at Bush for unilaterally moving into Iraq and by-passing them. France and Russia lost billions in oil contracts, because they were first in line when Saddam reigned. So it looks like a deal was struck yesterday. Bush is no dummy. He knows his numbers are the lowest and he is losing support of the American people, and his white house is in trouble. So he had to have made a deal that required the UN support of his war on Iraq and his plans for Syria, in exchange for shared Iraqi contracts. That's why last night, after their KKK style "unity" meeting to punish Syria they announced smilingly that Jaafari just sent word accepting resolution 1546, and they blatantly announced "this means the UN will have major presence in Iraq for the next 12 months". They got what they wanted all along, and in returnm Bush is going to get their support. Iraq and Syria are SCREWED!!! --------------------- |
