Dear Tiglath, I don't really believe in ONE answer or solution to changing anything. I believe we should do BOTH, or as many things as possible. It takes numerous things to change the system. What I listed are just simple steps that Americans can take to relieve their immediate suffering. It is certainly not THE answer. For that, we need real economists, and I'm not one. What you are proposing is an excellent idea, however, the American mentality is entrenched in the ideology of the constitution being sacrosanct. Without changing the constitution you cannot bring substantive change to the system. The disposession of the ordinary citizen is built into the structure of the American Consitition. Consequently, to dismantle the facade is at the heart of dismantling the system, in addition to what you propose. By the way, I would be interested in hearing more about what you propsed, such as how we are to cut out the suppliers. Please explain. This is getting fascinating. --------------------- |
