Ok here goes, the biggest problem in my opinion facing the world is the US foreign policy as outlined in one of my previous posts.

Strategicaly we'd target the biggest corporate sponsor of the Bush administration, THAT had made the most profit from the current US wars.
Although the biggest Weapons manufacturer is Lockheed Martin we should instead target the second most prolific weapons manufacturer. That target would be Boeing as 45.6% of its 2002 profit came from the public and hence is more susceptible to economic protest rather than Lockheed Martin who only has 5.4% of its 2002 profits coming from the public.

In order to target Boeing you'd need to target the following 3 areas:

a. CONSUMERS - Start by linking the key issues voters face to the problem you want to tackle. No more "No blood for oil" slogans, use slogans such as "Boeing out of Iraq!" and send the message to Boycott Boeing for destablising the ME and increasing the cost of petrol to the ordinary consumer with a slogan such as "Boeing causes Inflation."

b. INVESTORS - through an awareness and letter writing campaign. Every company has a list of every shareholder who's invested in the company and who has propped up the company's share price. There could be hundreds of thousands mum and dad investors in a company such as Boeing. How about sending them each a letter stating,

CC: All Boeing investors

Dear investor,

You have been found guily of financialy supporting Boeing, a company that continues to use paid lobbyists to manipulate the US's foreign policy and lead our nation into a never-ending war. We at the Worldwide Peace Network ask that you sell off all your shares and stop financialy supporting a company that has been responsible for illegaly invading countries such as Iraq in which nearly 3,000 US soldiers have been killed.
Our worldwide boycott campaign against Boeing will begin next week. We suggest that you invest in Boeing's rival company, Airbus, which does not influence US foreign policy yet still manages to generate a healthy return for its investors.
On a final note please be aware that our aim will be to substantially reduce Boeing's listed share price we suggest that you make attempts to divest yourself of their shares at your earliest convenience.

Regards,
Tiglath

c. WORKERS - Using Unions who supply Boeing or who unload their products at wharves or who work at Boeing we could start a grass roots action that would internaly slow down production and increase the ultimate cost of producing thheir weapons.

The campaign would require extensive grass roots support and media savvy but if launched for an extended period of time, and monitored through the company's share price, you would eventually force this one company to cut its corporate sponsorship of the US government and stop influencing its decisions to invade other sovereign nations.

The three-pronged Consumer, Investor & Worker campaign would continue indefinately until the whole world associated Boeing with illegal invasions and wars. Eventually the cost of the campaign to the company would become so significant that the company would have to agree to cut all government lobbying/funding.

In this way we could force one of the weapons manufacturers to stop buying influence in the US government and then move onto the next biggest weapons manufacturer. If this process were to be continued for years we'd eventually retake our foreign policy from the hands of the war manufacturers.

What do you think?
