What are you insinuating, Tony? That women deny being emotional, sensual, erotic creatures? Deny that a woman can be everything, including intellectual, spiritual, and sensual? You know what the misogynists will say if she "does not let him penetrate": 1. She's a frigid bitch. 2. She's a dyke. 3. She's manipulative. 4. She's a whore whose fucking everybody but me! So, instead of halting nature and sexuality, as Christianity and Islam have proposed for many distasterous, oppressive centuries, why not empower men and women with CHOICE! Interesting that BREAST AUGMENTATION is unanimously acceptable and preferable by men because BIG BREASTS titilate MAN, but HER FREEDOM, HER WILL, HER BODY & PHILOSOPHIES, including ABORTION remain taboo... All this in a WESTERN milieu. Imagine the atrocities SHE-our mther, our sister, our lover, our doctor, our child, our writer, our dreamer, our leader- faces in places like Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan where she is tortured and executed when SHE IS RAPED, when she is ADULTEROUS, when she is PROMISCUOUS, when she is LESBIAN, when she is HUMAN, when she is WOMAN... And even here in the STATES, what if she has no choice in letting HIM penetrate? What if HE is her ABUSIVE husband? What if HE is a SERIAL RAPIST? What if the FETUS is a THREAT to HER LIFE? What if the FETUS is DEFECTIVE in unimaginable ways? What if SHE is struggling with ALCOHOLISM & DRUG ADDICTION- which can happen TO ANYONE IN ANY PART OF THE WORLD? Or, less serious, what if SHE simply made a poor decision and had a one-night stand after a romantic evening with wine and laughter, poetry and exotic food, and MAN & WOMAN had UNPROTECTED SEX? Again. If Christians don't want to have abortions, they shouldn't. This doesn't mean everyone else can't either!!! --------------------- |
