,,,that's the reason Pagans were so civilized and humane...at least in so far as they didn't use a god of LOVE as a justification to kill anyone who would not accept that sort of love. Murderous intolerance came with murderous certainty...even the Romans only started really killing Christians when THEY became Christian...and the first people them hoary and hairy Hebrews attacked the MINUTE they discovered their ONE god were their OWN friends and neighbors and fellow Jews who would NOt accept this new ONE god bullshit.

if anything is clear it is that there are MANY gods to this day...we just didn't kill people before because they had their own. This is something new and bloody that Monotheism brought the world.
