>---I don't disagree with what you say about the Christians, as I've stated before. What I will say though is that you look too much on the surface of things. ...you're entitled to your opinion...I see myself more as a person who looks underneath what you consider to be the "inside" of things....you go down deep, it's true...but I don't think you go down deep enough...underneath all the mumbo jumbo that you think lies at the core of things is a deeper layer yet...and down there there simply exists "I don't know". Any intellectually honest and unafraid person will say that..."I simply do not know". And having said that will still refuse to acceot as "explanations" all the wild-assed claims since we were eating our neighbors raw. Those who claim to have seen the Infinite, while barely maintaining a 3.5 grade point average at what laughingly passess for univesities in America...well, they know best. Everything you see is controlled by an unseen hand, Fred - and no, I'm not talking about God. Think about it. [/i] ...I have thought about it...a lot. Enough to know, with Gilgamesh, that not only will I NEVER know.,..but also that I don't NEED to know...and with Gilgamesh, it's enough for me to hold my woman by side, embrace my babies and bathe and wear clean clothes...our own wisdom is so infinitely finer than what them hoary Hebrews came up with that you could weep for its clear-eyed brilliance. I do NOT know...and more importantly, I don't NEED to know. I know enough to know there is nothing to fear in death...as there isn't in Life...except that I might wake up in that Christian hell you call heaven. > > >---Answer this question for me Fred. Why do you think the major religions are around today? ...as the Jesuits say, "Give me a child till it's eight..and I'll have it for Life". People create religions from their fear and ignorance...which can be manipulated by rulers to maintain control...people as of yet have no faith in the goodness of human nature..if properly taught...you see parents using scare tactics to enforce obedience all the time..and a ruler has an even greater problem..."be quiet or I'll call the police"..."behave or the doctor will come and give you a shot"..."be good and I'll buy you that toy"...that's all religion is. Spirituality is another thing entirely...and you won't find that in ANY religion. Do you think it is a coincidence? You think this many people actually give a crap about this stuff (any religion)? I'll tell you what's up. People are socialized around this stuff. None of the major religions of today would be around today if it weren't for the group of people who control this world that one day hope to establish a one-world religion. In many of the social sciences, you'll see several theories that help address this issue. One thing I learned is that one can control the world by 1) keeping a currency system around and 2) subjugating women. Look around at the major religions...you will see these two aspects at least in some way inherent in them. You'll see members of these faiths claiming that the original belief didn't want it that way and that after a few years the followers began to interpret things there own way (e.g. I do this myself). But it doesn't matter much b/c what's in practice is what's affecting the world. The major religions are around for this reason. ...sure. There used to be clan chiefs and then kings and finally emperors...the same thing happened in heaven. > >Look at the ancient Assyrian civilization of Sumer. ...that wasn't an Assyrian civilization..it was Sumerian. I'm sure you know that they put much respect on females. In fact, pre-Islamic Arab culture was influenced by this. The Arabs living in northern Arabia (which is just south of where Sumer was) were influenced by this and created there own offshoot of these practices. In that culture, it was not peculiar to see women sleeping with 9 different men. Then, when she became pregnant she chose the male who would be the father - even if the one she chose was not the biological father. When Islam came, it completely reversed this. ...sure. Muhammad worked for his older wife...how many Prophets have started out as employees? > >Now, I'm not saying that system was good or anything...but you see the point. Wherever there was any respect or weight put on women in society (even if it was a little), the major religions came and put an end to it...even if it occurred in their later iterations. > >This shows that whoever led any movement knew that he had to win over the females and/or subjugate them. They are the ones that typically raise the children and transfer habits and traditions to their children. ...also the advent of private property...tuff a man had to leave behind...it was then that paternity became all-important...a man wanted to be sure his 12 cows and three tin pots went to a son of his blood and not the neighbor's. Private property turned even the woman's womb into property...to be owned by ONE owner. > >As a matter of fact, Albert Pike - who was 33rd Degree Mason - talks about this. > >Think about it. Today's events have absolutely nothing to do with real religion. Religion is just used as a front and people are getting f***** on all sides regardless of their religion. This world is ultimately headed toward a one-world religion. It will be the only way to create "peace" according to many of the world's architects. ...it won't work. The whole point of Life is that there is NO stability...there can never be a settled state...balance and equilibrium is an impossible state...we are here to GROW...to travel towrds something without ever reaching it...there is no ultimate goal to reach...that's why children never take advice from their parents and teachers and priests..it would be a dead world if they ever did...if the could then we would have formed a perfect socirty long ago...we'd still be sitting round a fire in a clearing somewhere, maked and dirty...eating the last remains of cousin Moog...children would have believed those parents when they said, "this is the best of all possible worlds...we have achieved peace and continuity". Didn't happen then...won't happen today...will NEVER happen...because we aren't built that way...or we never would have gotten here...and we'll move again and again...there are no answers, you can see that clearly...humans have NEVER been finally satisfied...there are always and only better questions...that's what makes Life worth the bother. A "perfect" state, sucvh as your "heaven" is a huge bore...an infinity of never changing routine..one in which perfection has been reached...that's death and stagnation..it isn't Life..and an ETERNITY of that is sheer hell. > >Don't be surprised to see Muslims, Christians, Jews, Bahai'i, Zoroastrians, and everyone else temporarily united to fight this force when it fully emerges. ...I'm never surprised when people fight. > > >KHAYA ASHUR / ZEND'E BAAD ASHUR / YAHYA ASHUR ...NYAH NYAH Ashur to you too. --------------------- |
