"The entreaties of their friends had inclined them to retract when Eulogious prevailed upon them to accept martyrdom. They were beheaded. Eulogious, much encouraged, called for new martyrs. Priests, monks, and women marched to the court, denounced Mohammad, and obtained decapitation (852). Eulogious himself earned martyrdom seven years later. After his death the movement subsided." I just love the fact that Eulogious incited everyone ELSE to become a martyr, but not himself. It took another 7 years for him to figure out that he finally ran out of idiots who wanted to be beheaded, and had no choice but to kill himself. Did the word "eulogy" come from Eulogious, because he sure as hell didn't deserve one, rather, he should have been convicted for mass-murder. By the way, don't worry about Peter the dancing rabbit. He beats himself-up everyday. That's why he looks a little "off". --------------------- |
