>My last reply to this, NOT because it isn't interesting, because you do make GOOD points, it's just that it's such a beautiful weekend and I DON'T want to waste my time discussing Zowaa and AIDS. I have made a huge pot of dolma and I'm going to spend the day eating it with my family, and need a rest from your poundings.

...no fair!!! DOLMA!!!

...fair enough.

...that is a most provacative question...sort of like what are grair dicks doing in Shushan hands....would you feel better if AIDS REFUSED to let SOME Assyrians hold their cans? Shouldn't you also ask what my sculpture would be doing at an event that did NOT welcome me? It isn't about whose CAN...or whose HANDS, or who is WELCOME or LIKED...it's about using all the hands we have and kicking all the cans out there to get a JOB DONE!
>
>I wasn't the president of AAASC at the time, and you are right, they should have explored the truth about who is what, but it was the Zowaa people who came to the association to hold a rally and to give us AIDS cans to distribute and do fundraiser for AIDS.

...so what? What the hell does that prove except that ZOWAA people are interested in raising money for Iraq?

Naturally, we thought nothing of it, because we DID NOT have anything against Zowaa or AIDS, and we were only too glad to help them gather money and distribute aid to garbia. This shows that we were operating on good faith, and they weren't.

..it does not. AIDS has the cans...AIDS had Narsai...Narsai has the contacts and skills they ALL need...you should rather fault ZOWAA for REFUSING to bring AIDS cans..or AIDS for refusing to give their cans to ZOWAA...as you fault AIDS for refusing my sculpture...let those who are willing to keep their eyes on the prize get whatever cans are out there.
>
>If the Zowaa people are holding the AIDS cans in their hands, wouldn't you assume that the two organizations are connected, related, and even might be the same?

...not at ALL! And I'm surprised that you'd go so far as to make that assumption...hardly scientfic of you. Is that REALLY Santa Cluas ringing a bell at Christmas....? I mean come ON!
>
>You know the old phrase, "if it looks like a duck, and walks like a duck, by golly it must be a duck"!!!!

...holding a can doesn't make a duck of anyone. ZOWAA is out drumming up support and money for AIDS...should they REFUSE to do so? Would THAT make you happy? Would THAT endear them to your heart? Narsai has to use ALL the resources at hand..that's the reason they chose HIM...because he HAS a lot of resources to bring...should ANy Assyrian organization REFUSE or worse, be DENIED, the cans??? Should I be denied their auction becase people "don't like" me? Should ZOWAA get out of town or stop taking in donations themselves??? Should ANYONE do anything to lessen the effectiveness of the entrire effort? You seem to be saying "yes"...if YOU don't approve...what's so different in that from what AIDS just did in refusing my donation?
>
>2) Where is the responsibility of the AIDS people in all this? Shouldn't they be careful who they hand their cans to?
>
>Impressions are just as powerful as words. If you don't want people to "assume" something, it is YOUR responsibility to make the decision NOT to give the wrong impression.

...with THESE people there is NOTHING you can do to keep them from getting EVERYTHING wrong. How much time and effort is Narsai supposed to take from hus schedule to make sure of such a thing? is he supposed to get donations and his own AND make sure YOU don't get any wrong impressions? How much time are YOU willing to devote each day to make sure someone doesn't get the wrong impression about YOU...and YOUR work? is it reallly YOUR responsibility to cater to every jackass out there who thinks he has the right to put his hands all over YOUR can? Maybe people should watch out for THEIR hands!
>
>And the Zowaa people holding the cans in their hands makes my point!!!

...well, what a simpleton YOU turned out to be!!! A can in the hand PROVES your point? What's your point....that you have prejudices just WAITING to be "confirmed"? Any racist "scientist" could have his every KKK belief 'confirmed" on that basis. Don't Black people SMELL differently? Aren't Jews AVARICIOUS? Isn't there plenty of "proof" out there to substantiate these FACTS!

...obviously you're desperate to get to your dolma...and I don't blame you...I wouldn't watse time talking to me either if I had a pot of dolma waiting...enjoy! And watch your can.
