If the former then yes, we did have a few individuals, writers and priests who declared their Assyrian identity much like Khalil Gibran did, BUT we were always known as Suraye a word that became synonamous with Christian. Our ancient Assyrian ancestors were meanwhile viewed with hostility with Psalm137:8-9 read out in our churches right til this very day. --------------------- |
