...interesting. Stopped at a red light at four in the morning, with clear visibility in all directions, a flat road in all directions where you could see any approaching cars for hundreds of yards, I've felt foolish and silly waiting for a green light...I thought at those times how unfortunate it is that we give up common sense and wariness...good survival techniques, in our increasing dependence on the marvels of technology which are supposed to make our lives easier but saving us the need to be sharp and get sharper...ah well,

I always ran the lights....like it was my duty to myself and the species.
