Sorry, Ado, but the term was coined in the 1920's, which is why I was thinking it might have been the great American Sociologist, C. Wright Mills.

Stevens may have popularized the term, but he didn't "coin" it.

I never trust Wikipedia. Just think people like Firas Jatou write for Wikipedia, and can say anything they want!
