Sup Farid. How's life? We never ended up seeing each other while you were in California. Too bad... I must say, you've been doing this for so long that you have one hell of an argument to put forth. So let me get this straight, you take Will Durant's explanation over that of Paul Younan's? Other than the easy to utter reply of "but that's pious rot," can you tell me why Paul's explanation is inadequate and Will Durant's isn't? Just for a second, put aside all the Christians-didn't-sacrifice-anything-but-sacrfice-humans-by-killing stuff. We're talking about a supposedly good "Christian," not Pope Pius XII, who pretty much sanctioned the Jewish Holocaust. Keep in mind I do know acts of selflessness had been been around before Jesus Messiah. My next question is, even if the idea of "self-sacrifice" had been around for years before, what the problem with someone coming along and renewing it? Afterall, that's what Muhammad (PBUH) did. He claimed all the prophets before him were indeed sent by God, but that he was coming to renew the message that had been forgotten or perverted. And then my last comment/question. While I agree that most Assyrians have become to passive, what do you have to say about people who in recent history have fought or in some way worked toward solutions - whether they had to or they just felt like it? I'm talking about our Agha Putrus's and Mar Shimun Benyamin's - those kind of people. And there were others. Apparently, we have not lost the will to fight or to work toward solutions.
