Dear Qasrani, I think now's the time where weas Assyrians need to distance our selves from the US occupiers who will inevitably leave Iraq. Once they leave Iran and Turkey will probably arm the Sunnis and the Shiite to the teeth and let them roll right over the Kurds in the north. The last thing we want is to be too closely associated with the Americans primarily but also the Kurds. But the Kurds may surprise us. They may very well turn around and stab the US in the back while they are leaving. Either way we should be adopting a neutral position in Iraq. We should be emphasising our desire for the invaders to withdraw and for a peaceful liberated Iraq to not be broken up into separate provinces. Once Iraq is free of the US occupiers and has had a chance to rebuild itself we will be rewarded for showing loyalt to the country and given our religious, humanitarian rights within Iraq. --------------------- |
