I admire you as a strong woman, an actress, a concert-pianist, a play-write, an Olympic figure skater, etc., but I never saw you in the Assyrian community until you started peddling your book to the Assyrians!

...Ouch!

You know, I wondered about that too....like, where did THIS come from? We are used to Aprim being the booger on the windowsil...but Rosie? Rosie WHO? Is this book a resume enhancer? Are dead Christians a "golden opportunity"?

It's not like these stories haven't been told before....why this time...why by Rosie? Is this the beginning of a list of credits that read..."Book by Rosie Malek"..."directed by Rosie Malek, screenplay by Rosie Malek and starring Rosie Malek ?

Don't get me wrong...there is nothing wrong with that at all...and power to her for her ambitions...I don't even mind her coming into the community to peddle...I did the same thing...my concern is over the subject matter...that's all.

We have 1001 stories...we have Romeo and Juliet and Hamlet and so many heroic and funny and heart warming tales to tell...why go back into history and pull BLOOD and VICTIMHOOD out? Especially when at the same time we say those Muslims LOVE to kill Christians...why give them MORE to dislike and suspect them for?

THAT'S my beef.
