My parents always told us just when you think you are the prettiest, smartest, educated, and accoplished person out there, there will be someone out there prettier, smarter, more educated and more accomplished than you. Needless to say, this kept us extremely humble and modest and also taught us beauty, fame, and glamour doesn't last long. In the wise words of Farid, you can't have ALL the audiences adore you ALL the time, right Tony? Now you know Rosie, why I did not attend the huge shindig Bet-Nahrain gave you. I admire you as a strong woman, an actress, a concert-pianist, a play-write, an Olympic figure skater, etc., but I never saw you in the Assyrian community until you started peddling your book to the Assyrians! --------------------- |
