Thank you for bringing up this topic... some times the "good ole boys" club never goes away. If you haven't already seen it, an incomplete archive of events surrounding this debate can be found here: http://www.insideassyria.com/ross/ Unfortunately, I seem to be one of the only people on the earth who is interested in documenting this event, because I think that the debate itself, as well as the events leading up to it and following it, were quite significant. I don't mean to toot my own horn, but I want to share my involvement in this situation with you... - I originally stumbled upon his article, which was on his personal web site, when I was doing random google searches for things related to Chaldean/Assyrian issues. Then, I posted it on our forum. - Later on, I had several e-mail exchanges with the professor, and his web site was later distributed to other Assyrian web sites (AINA, etc.) and several "e-protest" letters were sent out. - After the debate, the tape was sent to me, which was digitized (with the help of our Aussie Assyrians), and put on our web site. - I personally typed out the transcript of the debate, and attempted to collect various e-mails to and from Dr. Kelley Ross, as well as discussion forum posts, and other related information, so that they could all be in one location for the public to view. I wanted to create a site which displayed the untainted information: his initial web site, then his comments, our comments, etc... with a timeline and commentary about the entire situation: The who, what, where, when, how, and why... but I just never got around to completing the site. It's difficult and time consuming. But check it out and tell me what you think. --------------------- |
