...sad, sad, sad. There's a desperation in us to promote the absolutely useless to prominance. Give an "Assyrian" the cheapest possible version of himself and he will leap into it gladly. We demand the easiest possible ways to "be Assyrian". Whatever is pushed to the fore in Assria is sure to be the shabbiest thing of all...like the tinsel and sequined cardboard "chariots" pulled by hairy soccer players in place of horses at parades where we display our "pride".

Wullah, those of us who know better left the field to these dolts long ago.
