...I'm sorry but all this talk about your vote and what it means is so old...it's from a fossil ear. No one is saying people shouldn't tand up and be heard...but the vote, granted every few years is NOT the way...it meant something when it was all we had...but both parties have been co-opted into one...no real "voice" cam be heard politically today...no matter how they dress each other up as "populists"...they are merely owners and reps of corporations.

Everything he says is true, of course...but the remedy he proposes assumes we can have a voice in who RUNS..not just in whom we get to vote for...and that's the whole problem...increasingly the real issues are resolved BEFORE the election...everyone has a hand in EVERY pie...all of them are concerned about growth and profits..usually for the short term...they HAVE to invent some differences between them...but it's all window dressing...in truth we are no more "electing" anyone than the Iraqis were when all they had was the option to vote YES for Saddam...that's where we are today...only we don't realize it. The Iraqis at least KNEW their system was bullshit.
