Maggie, I would recommend that you di not pause while the tape is dubbing to DVD... you should convert the tapes in their entirety. The beauty of having them digitized on DVD is that you can easily cut parts out after they have been converted to DVD. You take the original DVD, import it into some video editing program (or have one of us do it), and simply cut out what you don't want and then re-create the DVD. I don't know if that VHS to DVD machine even supports that feature, but not to worry, because as I said, once it's digitized, you can do whatever you want with it! The sky is the limit... ------------------------- Maggie wrote: >Jeff, I went into the link Kris provided and read about this particular model. I just hope when I finally purchase it, I know how to operate it. I mainly want to know how to record, pause, while I run the video tape so that I can get rid of parts I don't want to record, or delete the parts that got onto the DVD by error. > >I'm at work now and don't have access to your e-mail but will send you my address tonight. > >Thanks for your generous offer. We can contribute to Ado's next film. We can even make a documentary using my trip footage.
