Dear Ashur,

.........First off I want to say that I commend you highly for the efforts you took to protest the sanctions against Iraq and the assistance that you also sent to help alleviate the suffering of the Iraqi people.

It is much more commendable than your former Secretary General, Former Senator John Nimrod, who gave me a deer in the headlights look when I raised the issue with him personally in Syndey in front of all the AUA Australia branch.
I asked him what he had done to stop the sanctions that had caused, according to the UN's own estimates the deaths of 600,000 Iraqi children under the age of 5, 27,000 of whom were Christian Assyrians?
He simply turned blue and nearly had a heart attack on stage exclaiming, "That my insinuations were preposterous and that the US would never allow such a thing to happen." It was then that Hermiz Shahen interjected and pretended that the AUA had actually sent numerous letters to the US government requesting that the sanctions NOT hurt the people of Iraq.

>Psalm 137:8-9
>O Daughter of Babylon, doomed to destruction, happy is he who repays you for what you have done to us-- he who seizes your infants and dashes them against the rocks."

>If you read the BIBLE, OLD TESTAMENT , you will find a lot of contradiction in it, if you recall it, I did make some remarks on them on this forum. So, if the BIBLE said that, DON'T forget it said also against the JEWISH people, but unfortunately that these people( JEWISH ) hate our people very much, a case in point even in the past when GOD ordered JONAH to go to Nineveh , if you remember the story, he didn't go until he was forced to do that.

>Now, my explanation will be two things:
>- Because of hate , OR
>- May be an error in copying, which is very remote.
>In conclusion, I am not a theologian, and I think we shouldn't pay attention to what the BIBLE said or not, let us do our job in serving our nation and serving our nation shouldn't require to study the Bible period, and further I my self believe in SECULARISM , Nationalism should not be mixed with religion, just a living example, THAT OUR DIVISION comes from the religion, not itself, but those who took religion in a wrong way, and if we were not divided as we are today on the religious lines, the Nestorians, the Catholics , the Jacobites and others , today we never have the problems that we are facing that these CATHOLICS who were ASSYRIANS and belong to the Church of the East or the Assyrian Church , because after the 10th century A.D. and as result of the Arab invasion the southern Mesopotamians were Arabized and Islamized, a case in point there was a Bishop( from BABEL) by the name Bar Rubban who converted to Islam and was called( Ali Ben sahel Ben Rabban 785-861) who was defending Islam and furthermore , " The Chaldaeans LOST their ethnicity in that of the Arabs as they lost their truth in Islam ." (The Book of Hagarism page 88).
>Ashur Beth-Shlimon

Forgive me Ashur BUT did you not state
"- And this is from their own HOLY BOOK , the BIBLE that they are EVIL INDEED:

" The Lord said, " Earth and sky , listen to what I am saying! the Children of I brought up have rebelled against me. Cattle knows who own them, and DONKEYS know where their master feeds them. But that is more than my people ISRAEL know.... You are doomed, you sinful nation, you corrupt and EVIL people "

......If as you claim you truly are secular then why did you use this quote to show that the Jews were evil?

.......Please be consistant with your beliefs and if secular do not use Bible quotes such as the highway from Egypt to Assyria, the works of his hands unless you can justify the dashing of our children's heads on rocks quote.
