...and here`s the killer...it wouldn`t surprise me that many parents...loving parents, converted JUST so they could spend quality time with their children..so they could hold their families together...no doubt this was how Constantine converted the ROMANS...who were no more interested in Christ than were most of the JEWS who KNEW Jesus!

...and...need I say it...if the story about Abgar, the Traitor, is to be believed...then no doubt Assyrian parents had to "convert" for the same reason...to hold onto their dear children somehow. Wouldn`t you? Or...should they have had their childrens THROATS SLIT!!! Like the "glorious" mother of those children preferred to see done rather than have them "renounce" a Jew...the one held up to us as a shining example of an ASSYRIAN mother, no less.
